Join Park Ranger Taylor Moorefield for a flickering lantern-lit historic hike in the dark. Hear stories of the Watauga settlement that called this valley home in the 1770s and enjoy the atmosphere of the riverside trail as nocturnal animals begin to stir. In this exclusive program, guests will get to enjoy a night hike after the sun has set and the park is closed to the public. Please wear good walking shoes for this 45-minute program. Meet at the gates of Fort Watauga near the visitor center.
